Artist Residency

The Singapore-Indonesia Transit Artist Residency (SITAR) is a month long residency opportunity open to artist from Singapore to live and work in Jogjarkarta for minimal 2 weeks to 2 months.

Estimated cost for Singapore artist planning a residency in Yogyakarta:

S$50 a day for board/ studio plus S$10 a day for an artist guide/ assistant.
Please bring your own art materials/ cost and a minimal of S$600 a month for meals/ living expenses.

Additional costing for rental of exhibition space, equipment and production is relatively affordable and we will help you network (collaborative local artists/ presentation/ crit/ exhibition sessions) wherever possible and connect you with any other artist needs (translation/ publication/ video documentation) during your residency in Jogjarkarta.
