Singapore-Indonesia Transit-Artist Residency

• Singapore-Indonesia Transit Artist Residency (SITAR) develops, supports, and stewards  incubation and interdisciplinary collaboration for Singapore and Indonesia artists.

• SITAR is first initiated in Yogyakarta by Singapore artist Jimmy Ong in August 2012, after a year long self funded residency in collaboration with curator Grace Samboh of HYPHEN and artists Ferial Afiff and Lashita Situmoran.

• Jimmy endeavors SITAR to share resources and networks between Singapore and Indonesia. Not all future projects necessitate Jimmy’s artistic participation.

• As of August 2014, this endeavour is home/ office/ workshop and community centre in Mantrijeron Yogyakarta known as Mogus House, co-host/ run by Mulyana Mogus and Jimmy Ong.
